For those who saw it at this deal price, did it show up as this much online/in app too?
If your store has it in stock and it's on clearance there, there will be a "See in-store clearance price" link.

if you install it correctly and don't overload it then there shouldn't be any issues. this one has a long span between the arms, so the load rating will probably be less.

I would check out some of the reviews. There are multiple reviews that state after a few years the bolts sheared off and caused the structure to collapse below, which is concerning.

Maybe replace the included hardware with grade 8 fasteners. Only in locations prone to failure. If one of these collapsed on one of my vehicles, I would not be happy.

Yikes.

FWIW I NEVER trust supplied lags. Bolts/assembly/machine screws yes, but never lags. Lags aren't expensive.

Ok I never comment but the design of this thing (and similar ceiling mounted storage racks) is just incredibly dangerous and stupid from both an engineering standpoint and also just a common sense standpoint.
Why in the world would you want to bolt a storage rack to the ceiling of your garage? Even if you bolt it correctly to the studs or strongest support beams in the ceiling, you would be risking life or paralysis by walking under this thing when it is loaded up with hundreds of pounds of who knows what. The rack doesn't even have to fail, items placed near the edge could simply slide off due to improper placement or vibrations from your garage doors opening and closing.
Are people really that strapped for storage space in their house or garage that they would spend $40 bucks for the opportunity to become a paraplegic?
You must be a lot of fun at parties.

Things fall of shelving too. Should there be no shelving in garages?

Besides, few people are putting 600 lbs in these. Generally, since you have to lift it, you put light stuff up there. Maybe hang a bike off it too.
