I had this and it stopped working after about 3 months. If your read Amazon reviews, many people had the same problem where it stopped working after a few months. I would stay away from this and get a better quality brands like Anker/UGreen/RAVPower .

I have a Baseus power strip on both nightstands. If the power goes out and comes back, this unit will default to the off position. Woke up on several occasions to an uncharged/dead phone. I won't buy from them again.

I have the 40w version of this and it works great. It does default to power off when power is lost but that is not an issue for me like it could be for others. It charges my phones very fast and I have had it for over a year with no issues.

Decent deal. I've been using the 40w versions for almost a year now and haven't had a single issue outside of the power button being very easy to accidentally press. I also don't like that I have to manually turn it back on after a surge or outage but I always feel I need to leave a comment cause a couple people tend to have issues with ports not working and haven't had that issue at all. However I just got the 100w version for $26 literally last Wednesday which i think is a better deal than $23-$24 for this one.

The bigger problem might be the several times your power goes off in the middle of the night.

Florida in the summer = constant thunderstorms. FPL does suck though, one of the most expensive kilowatt nationally and weekly power bumps are the only perk.

They are not reliable. I've had 2 that failed.

I'm thinking of picking up something like this to use as a little charging station on the top of my desk. I'd want to plug it into the powerstrip/surge protector I've got at the bottom of my desk that powers the rest of the stuff at my desk. Am I correct in understanding that since this one also has surge protector functionality, I shouldn't plug it into the larger surge protector under my desk and using something like this that doesn't have surge protector functionality would be better?

Same here. This one taught me to never buy another strip without a mechanical switch.

This thing has so many ridiculous design choices. The capacitive touch power switch/indicator has to be one of the dumbest things I've encountered. You pick the thing up to plug a cable in or out and it easily kills all power. Great experience when it's hooked to a computer or anything else that has no battery...

This design makes me extremely
suspicious of anything Baseus produces. It's so obviously flawed and yet it's on several of their products.
