Had their OG burger last week during travel for the first time, BOGO on Uber eats, and it was legit so tasty for a classic burger. Almost perfect on the inputs and made to order. I'd try this deal if I had one local.

I hate to say this is the only time when it's worth getting from Shake Shack since you can get a shake and fries for $10-$12 and have a meal at the price this should cost.

Would it not be more accurate to say that they qualified for PPP (which they shouldn't have in the first place let's be honest, but that's our government at work), but Shake Shack returned the loan in full?
That said, the BBQ menu sucks! I rather they bring back the chili and brisket menu

Okay, so here is my issue with this deal. In my area, a Smoky Classic BBQ Chicken and a Carolina BBQ Chicken with Fried Pickles both go for $8.99. They want a $10 purchase. The burgers, Smoky Classic BBQ Burger and the Carolina BBQ Burger with Fried Pickles are both $10.99 (here is the catch, what is advertised is a double burger, but only the single works for the promotion, $8.99 for the single). Again, the value of the item is not worth to purchase anything more than it.


Edit edit: I found a challenge within the app that may go with this deal https://slickdeals.net/f/18547678-shake-shack-shake-challenge-time-notification-bell-icon-in-app?p=178706890#post178706890. I do not know (because a lot of small print to read), if this can be used with another deal. I mean I would think a customer is still spending $10 and so that should go towards the three purchases right?

Let me break this down for you -

You go to a car dealer, break into the one you want, and drive off.
Cops pull you over, you get caught.
You say 'oh, sorry, here's the money for it' and pay the amount to the car dealer
You should be free to go?

Doesn't work like that. They got caught, that's why they returned it. Doesn't count.

Except stealing a car is illegal and they legally qualified for the loan.This is more like they bought the last pallet of toilet paper from Costco, then returned it after watching the news and seeing the shortage.That said, these burgers look delicious, if I was closer to one I'd definitely stop in.

They qualified legally under dubious interpretations of the rules. There were just so many applications when hands on deck were low that they were rubber stamped and not analyzed cloesly. Those loans were for small businesses, which Shake Shack was not. They used a loophole interpretation to qualify as a small business by utilizing the number of workers per location rather than companywide. It was both shady and unethical, when small businesses were going out of business those a*holes with plenty of dollar reserves got $10m of their money. F them.
