Okay, so if I only check out two dozen memes, catch up on one episode, and watch half a porn I'm set this month.

It works out to $10/month for basic service. Its a one year plan. I wouldn't expect more data than that for the price.

Bring the 12GB plan back down below $200 and then they can have my money and thumbs up. This "deal" isn't moving the needle.

RP lost me as a multi-year customer last year when they started playing games with their pricing of annual plans, but this is a good price for what it offers.

Half a porn probably won't get the job done. I would forgo a couple of memes.

I'll take the bait. What games did they play? Are you referring to their terminating your current plan early when you reload? Yeah, that stinks. But other than that, and the fact that 360 days isn't exactly a year, I've been doing RedPocket on two lines for many years. (Don't mistake me for an RP fan boy, though. RP is great until the moment you need customer service).

I still have multiple lines 2x $60/yr and 1 $30($45)/yr plans but I'll let one of the $60 plans lapse. And really, I don't need or ever needed the $30 plan either. Where RP lost me was their 15/20/25GB plans were no longer a good value via eBay, or just eliminated. Briefly adding s/h was a pisser, too. They're just not competitive anymore since most plans are via their website now and the means recovery and admin fees.

My annual plan cycles were ending in December. RP always offered significant discounts on their annual eBay plans for the Black Friday sales period, which is when I made my purchases. Last year was the first year that they initially raised the BF sale price significantly from all prior years. And they added on a shipping charge to boot, even for non-sim renewals. When that strategy backfired resulting in reduced sales they started increasing the discounts and adding coupon codes to get a lower price. They did this multiple times. Still it leveled off above the prior years price which was $120 for this plan.

I've been an RP advocate for years but I'm moving on next month. When data is used up the speeds are laughable. Many other providers offer workable speeds but it shouldn't be 2G or less. Boost seems to be the way with the $270/year for unlimited and AT&T towers, but I'm also considering USMobile. Stay away from Mint.
