This coconut milk is fine, but doesn't work well for Thai curries. The emulsifier(guar gum) keeps it smooth but for curries it's best to fry the curry paste in the thick cream at the top of the can.My go-to is Mae Ploy coconut cream, I have found it at Walmart. Just thought I'd mention for anyone looking to make Thai curry 😊

Half the price of Kroger brand and I like that it's smaller containers (I just end up freezing any leftovers) but I still bought it.

Coconut milk prices have been nuts since tariffs. Cheapest can is more than $3 at the Asian markets near me.

Trader Joe's brand is the only one brand I ever found that has only coconut and water as it should be. It doesn't go on sale as it is TJ's but totally worth it without the unnecessary gums and thickeners.

Does anyone eat this on the regular? I'm curious if folks have issues with cholesterol when you eat this on the regular. Family history of high cholesterol so want to be mindful of this.

50+ years of coconut milk weekly & no issues at all. to be fair, the 1st 20 years or so was fresh 🥥 & still try to use fresh when i can

What is the difference between this and Silk? This stuff is concentrated and more of an ingredient rather than just to drink?

To clarify you get regularly tested or when you say no issues you mean you haven't stroked out yet?

When I say family history of high cholesterol i mean 200+ cholesterol with a bmi of like 20. There was a small stint where my GP was going to put me on Lipitor just to get ahead of the issue.

It's in there for a reason. An ounce of guar gum is more expensive than the coconut milk itself.
Coconut milk fat separates and floats on top without guar gum being used. I've actually read reviews on Amazon where people are buying 100% coconut milk products but then complain about it being clumpy.
