People have mentioned that this saw is not very powerful and only lasts about 10 minutes on a charge, however if you need a few minutes to carefully cut or grind in a very tight space that no other tool will reach, this bad boy is a lifesaver, and some of the best money I've ever spent.

Tell people on the job site it's not the size of the tool, but what you do with it that counts.

No, there's a drill +impact+extra tool /battery of your choice set that comes with 1.5Ah & 5Ah batteries that comes up often. It's been posted several times in the past 6 months.

I have some cheap aftermarket batteries. I didn't formally test their capacity or current capabilities, but they are at least not horrible.

I can't figure out the usage too, not like regular home owner can use it often.

I have the ryobi version. At first I thought about uses too and after having it for a while I did find uses. It works for smaller metal jobs like cutting wire fence and thinner metals with good control and accuracy, I've cut up to 1/2 rebar with it but that is more efficient with a larger grinder, also cutting bolts and screws, cement board, for scoring pavers and tile, ABS/PVC pipe etc. I've never used it for cutting wood but could in theory with the right blade. I use it a lot more than I thought I would. The Ryobi one was only in the $50 range I think. I have a large chop saw and corded and cordless grinders.

Per GabAI:
"Most folk reach for the M12 3-inch cut-off when:
Flush-trimming door jambs and baseboards for new flooring (hold the foot and zip).
Lopping off exposed copper or conduit in tight electrical boxes.
Cutting steel bolts, threaded rod, or stainless bar stock without lugging out a corded angle grinder.
Trimming 1/4-in copper, brass, or PEX tubing in crawl-spaces.
Shaving deck balusters, rebar rods, or aluminum strut left a little proud.
Slotting chain-link fence poles or galvanized pipe for brackets.
Its tiny nose gets into spots an angle-grinder can't."

I used this on a vinyl siding project. It worked great with the proper blade and the 4ah battery I was using seemed to last awhile.

A weekend warrior-type home user is more likely to buy this precisely because they're not likely to use it often; easier to justify owning than a full size chop saw or angle grinder. It's small, compact and can do some small jobs. It's the pros who won't want this (unless for specific niches like they need to cut while in tight spaces or perhaps while elevated on a roof or something).
