Just FYI, you're going to have to jump through a ton of hoops to get these games. Signing up for intel accounts, providing your email/phone number identification, agreeing to multiple TOS, doing a survey, and then you have to run software that scans your computer to see if you have the said CPU installed before they give you the games.

problem is that we just don't really know and their data collection is bad (possibly purposely so). reports are chips that could have already been degrading but not showing signs and finally slid further even after the microcode update, some could be incorrect user settings, and some could be the microcode updates simply not working.

there is so much unknown RN that really nothing but time will really sort out.
fwiw i have a few of these around my offices and the only one that confirmed degraded was a 14900k so far, and i keep a small stock of backup 12th gens to drop in during rma procedures.

not dumb but you won't see much uplift. its small.

also the 12th gens are not affected by the degredation issues and can be properly beat on if that is your jam.

In for one. Got trade in value on my 12700 non-K of $125. So $40 after tax and refund for BF6 (even if it's the base game and not Phantom) to move to a K CPU is pretty slick in my book. I was ready to drop $70 on BF 6 on release, so this is a no brainer to me and my use case.

You can also trade in same 14600K you are buying with "$150 offer" they give you 14 days to use prepaid label you just have pay sales tax and keep the games free you need install 13/14th gen CPU to activate them.

Appears when try it at checkout your Trade-In is no longer eligible due to one or more of the following reasons: The new purchase is a lower price than the Trade-In offer

They made sure its 1c less so can't use it as trade to get free games. Good deal if got 14600KF newegg is giving $140 trade-in

I do have 12700k, 13700k, and 13900k. This 14600k is way better than 12700k and similar performance 13700k at gaming. So this is great deal.

The 14th gen CPU will be performing better than the 12th even if it's just a i5.

Took me less than 7 mins total on the last Intel bundle deal.... If you game on PC you're likely already pretty tech savvy. The steps are:

1) install cpu
2) run Intel cpu check software from game promo page.
3) Wait for them to email you the final redeem page after some time - wait time could be days or a few weeks.
4) Click email, fill out 1 minute survey, get game keys.

The whole time of labor on the users end is like max 12 minutes if you're slow. Worth it for an included game tbh. They throw in two most of the time.

I have an Intel Arc B580 in a B350 motherboard with a Ryzen 5 5600 that is not performing good. I was thinking of upgrading the motherboard to a B550 and keeping the CPU since everyone says that the Ryzen 5 5600 should be performing fine with the Intel Arc B580. I have extra DDR4 RAM and a Ryzen 5 1600 that I am not using that I could use with the old B350 motherboard I am using now. I can also just use the DDR4 RAM with this CPU.

The B580 came with the AC game when I got it so that doesn't factor into it even though it seems like this doesn't include it anyway. I was going to get Battlefield when it went on sale at some point though.

So upgrade to:
i5-14600K + LGA 1700 + CPU Cooler
$150 + $90 + $20 = $260

or

B550 Motherboard = $80

?
