This is a super capacitor cam, so it's very likely you've plugged it into a non-switched power port. This means the cam is still getting power from your car battery even with ignition off, so it's normal that it'd stay on in that situation. You can fix this by either plugging it into a switched power port or hard wiring it to a switched power source in your fuse box.
