Very specific. These are for your fancy camping kit for those who want to avoid plastics. There are few non plastic options for those who are picky about it.

Ceramic isn't a great option for your camping bin that gets tossed around because it's more fragile and too heavy.
Steel isn't a great option either. If you've tried those stainless steel salad bowls from IKEA, you know that the bowl instantly heats up to the same temperature as the hot food or soup you put inside, burning your hand/ lap and making them for that purpose unusable. I've personally put a single layer steel bowl into a plastic bowl as a remedy.. it's a bit spill prone in your lap because it can tilt easily when nested in another bowl.

Personally those wheat bowls all over Amazon like the ones linked here are much lighter and cheaper option. The only problem is that while they state they are made of wheat and bpa free, they are generally composite and have plastic.

Not sure why this seems particularly esoteric but I have a number of products in this line so I'll bite. Special camping reasons or opinions on the use of plastic vs metal aside, I use these for bbq's, potlucks or when I bring food to the pool. They're double wall insulated so keeps things cool or hot as needed, has a lid, is reusable/durable and isn't glass - which isn't allowed on pool grounds. I also have a number of friends with backyard pools who are strict about glass in the area (for good reason). The 1qt size is a bit limiting (though they have bigger sizes) but these are still pretty nice to have.

Between this or the 3qt what is more useful?

I use it for home and not camping. Hot: Ramen, pho, soup. etc. Cold: ice cream. It's fun, but not a necessity.

Same here. Nothing to do with camping or microplastics, everything to do with keeping my bowl of hot soup or stew hot while work distracts the hell out of me. It does a fantastic job, I love it.

1qt is good for use as a personal bowl, 1-2 servings of things or a serving bowl for smaller things (think salsas, condiments/toppings etc). The 3qt is definitely more useful for side-dish sized things

I've been camping with stainless steel bowls. No microplastics in those, and they cost just a couple of dollars.

Do you want to make a GRWM video and want to keep your icy water cold as you plunge your head down for social clout? Do you get tens of dollars from your social media following and want to justify a fancy bowl?

I saw a claim that said the amount of plastic in your brain is about the amount of a plastic spoon. I have no idea what to think about that one. Might be freaking true.
