Just purchased this TV, same reason bought new fridge. Not exactly loving it to be honest. Was going to use it mostly as a side TV for sports in the man cave and the motion blur is bad. Watching Disney is fine but something about the compressed cable sports is not great..... Anyone else?

Saw this tv in person at Costco and it's by far the worst picture quality of any of the TVs demonstrated in store. At any size this TVs picture quality is just bad. Would not reccomend spending money on this tv. The viewing angle was horrific too if that matters for you. Pictured right next to it were lg ua77 and Samsung u8000 which were dramatically better, regardless the specs. I was pretty surprised.

Tv ready for pick up but debating whether I should wait until Black Friday. This retails for around $320 so not that great of a deal.

The Q7 series shows to have Full Array Local Dimming. Is the Q77 any different?

Yes, the Q77 is more like a Q6k with upgraded refresh rate.

I bought 2 of these a couple months back, they seem like very solid TV's for $230ea. I would've preferred a Roku OS vs. Google, but the user interface is snappy enough to not be too annoying. I ended up settling on the "intelligent" picture mode and am pretty happy with the picture. I wish the TV was brighter, but so far its been bright enough for all but the most sunny of days. I think the color and contrast are pretty vivid considering it doesn't get very bright, and doesn't have local dimming. Considering the 144hz native refresh rate, these would probably be great cheap TVs for a Kids gaming area. I'd be surprised if there are any other 55" 144hz native refresh rate TVs in this sub $300 price range.

It's also worth noting that Rtings has ordered one of these Costco q77k TVs for Testing, but last I checked hadn't received it yet to begin their Testing.
