Airplanes have tablet and phone slots built into the chairs now. I had no problem mounting my iPad and phone on my last few trips.

Just FYI this item is technically prohibited by all major airlines, the same way they prohibit Knee defenders and similar devices that are affecting use of seats, trays etc

I doubt anyone would say a thing about it. When the tray has to be in the up position, it would have to be removed if attached as in the pictrue. Therefore no violation there. The knew things is something different.

Average age of planes in US is 15years, they get as old as 30 though. It's super rare for any domestic flight to have holders for devices.

Buying a second one to keep in my backpack because I've found way too many uses for this in my house.

I have mine on a kitchen cabinet and will FaceTime my family while making dinner or watch a show or game in the kitchen too.
