disagree. not the best but not terrible price. it's a bit cheaper than lately. I also got cheaper couple months ago during prime days. but the powder doesn't last forever and it's about to end. since I need more it's better this price now than it was couple days ago. however I hope they lower as low as prime days promotion soon...

Prices of everything are going up despite the phony inflation numbers.

I'm just glad to find a reasonably costed whey protein powder without all the additives. NAKED brand is awesome but 90 bucks for the same quantity. The only additive in this one is sunflower lecithin, which is actually taken as a supplement for the potential health benefits.

I try to do grass-fed for all the dairy but since most of the fat has been removed in the case of a whey protein powder, the food source is going to have minimal impact on the finished product.

It's not a screaming deal but good luck finding any cheaper right now. Even all the places that sell bulk whey are OOS even at $9+/lb. Fitness has been getting steadily more popular, and now influencers are all shilling high protein meals and businesses are adding protein to everything.

Along with inflation $10/lb is the new "slickdeal" price, if it even stays that low

you are saying that like if this has happened in the last 2 months. in fact there was some relatively new research showing that protein may not be that important. and influencers are actually saying that we might not need to focus on protein that much (e.g. Jeremy Ethier with his video from literally yesterday and some others before that, but I don't care enough to remember their names).

I'm just saying it's a "meh" price. if you need it right here, right now and only this particular brand - this is fine. but following this logic - even msrp is fine. there were tons of deals for other brands cheaper than this. I bought it just recently, e.g. at least in July and March before that, and not in 2012 in 2025 for 39 instead of 54. 39 is a slick price, 54 is probably above the price of whatever costco has on sale for any given moment.

There's been debate on the importance of protein forever, probably a lot of gym bros overestimate it, but that doesn't detract from the reality that fitness is culturally trending right now, and all over the world. Whether the latest research says "hmm maybe .6g/lb is optimal", demand for whey is certainly not going down
I also bought unflavored whey from myprotein not that long ago for $7/lb, but if you search for whey on this website you'll note a paucity of deals for some months now. Which as someone who's followed whey on slickdeals for literally over 10 years, is abnormal. I even called a few bulk whey distributors recently and they are out of stock. The market apparently sees no need to discount whey right now.

I don't know what you are talking about. I have protein deal notifications almost daily. No pauses. https://slickdeals.net/f/18807538 - here is another deal for this same protein for the price I've been paying for it in the last 2 months. These deals are almost always available..
