They've stood by warranties for other products for me in the past. I've never had any connectivity or true voltage issues with any of their batteries, chargers, adapters, etc.
Going to need some proof as it relates to them being "junk."
Just because they charge more, doesn't always necessarily mean it's better quality. Plus they were caught selling customer's data and having breaches of their sister companies.
At the end of the day, no one's forcing you to buy their products, and it becomes more of an eye of the beholder and anecdotal accounts of people's experiences with them. They've been the up and coming new kid on the block, and I don't see that changing, they'll keep getting their share.
I've had one bad experience with them that was rectified and resolved, but until they fail consistently and repeatedly, I don't see any reason to pay 50%+ more for equivalent specs from other brands.

They all come from the same plant in China basically.
And this is the heart of the problem. The reason there's so many products with different brand names is for 'bait and switch'--bait is when the product is good, and then the switch happens and they start putting all the junk quality control items into inventory for quick sales and then rotate the bait to another brand and then rinse and repeat.
All the shady in the world comes out of that place, romance scams, pig butchering scams, the works...
The best way to combat this is to find domestic companies making their own product--they will be at the mercy of the supply chain, but at least they will be trying to not scam people. Terrible world we live in when that is considered a high bar now.

nothing they make is Anker quality

I've had a variety of their products crap out on me unfortunately
Anker simply has brand recognition (IE: Their products are common place in big box stores), but they've been slipping in recent years. I've had more products fail recently from them, than any other brand - UGreen, Belkin, Baseus, Aukey, etc.
Just because they charge more, doesn't always necessarily mean it's better quality. Plus they were caught selling customer's data and having breaches of their sister companies.

So if I didn't question it and just assumed that Anker was taking care of me, I would have received a replacement that couldn't have used and they lied about the original not being in stock. Not cool.

I just had one of their power banks crap out on me after 3 months. They offered to replace it with a model number was different than the OG and not on their website stressing that the model i ordered was not available for warranty replacements and out of stock. It's simpler than ever to build things in the US--you just have to do it.
Case in point is a company that makes front license plate adapters for people that don't want to permanently mount a plate on the front. Their competitors are farmed out to injection molding in china, but these guys just bought 8x industrial grade 3d printers and just makes them to order--no inventory and no lag time. Not only that but their pricing was in line with competitors but was faster to get because it was fully domestic. If one company can do it, others can do.
