I personally prefer the finer .5mm version which is the just right Goldilocks compromise between the .7 and .3 versions for writing legible but small detail notes on things like invoices or contracts. Turns out the .5s are also on sale for just under $1/pen with S&S:

But also, I also pick up really inexpensive pens for situations where pens frequently "walk away" or get lost by my ADHD. If you want a pen you won't be at all sad to lose, Amazon has a 10 pack of very inexpensive Bic Round Stick pens [amazon.com] for under $1 (10c each pen). They also have a slightly thinner point on that same page that is a 12 pack but still works out to about 10 cents each. The quality is mid, but probably the best I've gotten at this low of a price point. (And better than the comparable pens at Dollar Tree). The biggest negative is they aren't retractable, but I've had retractable cheap pens break near-instantly near-constantly so IMO this really a positive
Again I'm not claiming these are a better deal than the OP's deal, but I'm sure some folks seeing the deal lose pens as frequently as I do lol
