One day I'll be kicking myself for not having this in the garage but I can't justify buying it now even though the two or three times I'll need them I'll be cursing myself

Only if you decide NOT to replace your current extensions. I have since donated and sold my old extensions, and these are my go-to now. For peace of mind, I wanted to know if these were worth it before I decided to keep them. I used them in comparison with my old extensions within my return window. I have observed that my impact drivers work (# of impacts req'd) A LOT less. Adding a swivel to the end of an extension will further decrease the torque and these have been invaluable.

Lastly, the new gen of impacts are so powerful, I have been snapping and twisting lesser impact extensions (7x in 3 yrs). These still look and operate the same as the day I purchased them (1.5 yrs ago).

If you've never found yourself in any of the aforementioned scenarios, then it's probably overkill for your use case. Nonetheless, I highly recommend them as your defacto and perhaps keep your old set as backups (which I undoubtedly believe you will never need).
