The savings on getting a used SUV over a new SUV has been very narrow these days. Honestly just considering buying new for my wife's next car if things don't change in the next few years.

0 is nice but what will that ioniq 6 be worth in 48 months though

My 4 year old model y has 79k miles on it and 83% battery health based on the car's battery tester. I might be able to get 220 real miles on it. I live in the bay area in CA with nice weather, so can't blame the cold weather for the abysmal range and battery degradation. 95%+ of the charge has been slow AC charging with very little fast charging. The car is probably worth less than the battery replacement that it will eventually need. My next car will have gas or hybrid engine.

If you finance a depreciating personal asset, you lose bigly.
Paying cash for a car when you can finance well below the rate of inflation is losing more bigglier.

Honda is 4.99% 36 months on '26 models, 3.99% on leftover '25 models. These are not reasons to buy a new car. If you need a new car, I'd probably recommend doing some additional homework
Step 1: don't buy Korean.

Toyota vans, as well. But definitely not for EVs.

Are you high...if I didn't mind the risk, toss like 10k into 0DTE SPX calls or puts and earn 400%-1,700% on it?

The amount of riskiness in the play makes anyone think "Are you High"? LMAO

Do not support Kia or Hyundai after the blatant disregard to the vehicle thefts across the country for the past 6 years

Hyundai has some explaining to do regarding its Georgia battery plant.

My car is also worth less than the engine replacement that it will eventually need. Maintenance costs are often the reason people move on to newer vehicles. At least with an EV maintenance costs are far less.

Smart ppl know this financial APR promotion means nothing! Lower interest rates + higher car price; higher car price+ lower interest rates! This is how the dealer's business works! Lower car price+ lower APR rate = bankruptcy of dealer!

Surprised to hear this or see this. Can you please explain the rationale behind your statement? Just curious to understand/learn.

Friends don't let friends buy EVs. Just lease one if you really want a shiny toy.

And if you got your own solar it's free to drive.
