all of the specs are effectively the same until you get to the os updates. the edge+ is only getting 3 updates from 2023. and the s25fe will have android 23/ one ui 15. different world over there.
the chip is also better on the s25fe. only downside here is the storage.

this is the edge+ final year of os update. it is already eol

may I ask what you do with all these cheaply priced phones?
absolutely . ask away. here is my answer

i am using the moto edge plus 2023 as my primary phone.

support for that phone will end in ~1.5-2 years.

the plan is then to switch to this s25fe.

support for that will last ~5 years.

but during that time, i am sure there will be another deal for cheap newer phone that i will take advantage of

these are good phones for a small price

consider u will be waiting for 1 year.
u r looking at using a s23 in 9/26.

which may still be a viable option.

then maybe in 1 year from now the "s26fe" will be 99.
at which time u will be looking to use that s26fe in 9/27
and this s23fe until 9/27

The point is that you are slowly upgrading your phone for a slick deal so that it can stay somewhat up to date in terms of hardware and software. Instead of letting the phone get so old that it would no longer be financially viable sold, used for trade-in, or given to a friend/family. It's really a personal decision.

You could buy a phone at full price and upgrade it every 2~6 years, or just use these deals to upgrade year over year for a fraction of the full price of a phone. The hope is that you can recoup the original costs over time instead of just having e-waste by the time you actually are ready to upgrade again.

This phone didn't work with my Tmobile sim card.
Did you try popping in the tmobile sim card very first thing before activating metro line?

Great answer by CyanWing and thank you for sharing your datapoint - that's how we make slickdeals better.

If CyanWing's doesn't work and Infimobile is an issue, there are 2 things you can do:

1. Try visible esim offer $25 - $9 promo code
2. Wait for me to jump in on this deal that I plan to parlay with https://slickdeals.net/f/18384034-512gb-motorola-edge-2023-smartphone-1-month-service-boost-mobile-locked-119-99-free-shipping but it could be a few days

Good luck to everyone on this thread and keep the datapoints flowing in
I thought the simple thing was to get a new phone plan with physical sim and switch that over to metro for this deal. Will that not work? Why are you all trying to get a new esim to switch to metro?

eSim takes few seconds to get the number. Physical takes few days to receive. You do the math 😆

Likely true but I have the S23 fe from a previous Metro deal and it remains an excellent phone.

Found out, Tracfone account# is the same as IMEI# of the phone where you have used their SIM Card...
