A lot of people use this controller as a page turner for e-readers. Because it's one of the cheaper bluetooth controllers that includes keyboard mode, it works with nearly every device.

Bought this for $21, great as Anki remote. I also used it for my Switch 2 and it's good for emulation. D-pad is honestly meh, not the best but not the worst either.

For keyboard mode (K switch on the bottom), you update the mappings via the 8BitDo Ultimate Software app (not the v2 app) on Android or iOS. The app (at least on Android) requires location permissions, though I don't know why, and it won't function without it. Most keys are supported, though multimedia keys like play/pause or volume are not available. (I was hoping to use one as a sort of multimedia remote for a mini PC.) The key mappings get stored to the device (only 1 profile at a time), and there's an option to disable sleep.
A firmware update tool is available for Windows or macOS but NOT Linux, though I was able to eventually get it working in Linux using Wine.

Look at the size of the controller because it's small.

This is very much a mobile oriented device & not comfort. Not ideal for long sessions at all.

Is this different than the other identical looking Micro that lists MacOS and iOS compatibility (and isn't on sale)? This one seems to say iOS keyboard mode only…

Edit: Never mind the other isn't shipped and sold by Amazon

does this work with a tesla?
one comment on amazon reads:
Disappointed – Doesn't Stay Paired with Tesla Model Y

I had high hopes for this compact remote control. On paper, it seemed like the perfect little gadget for on-the-go use β€” especially for my Tesla Model Y Juniper. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major letdown.

I tried pairing it multiple times, and while it would initially show as connected, the connection would quickly drop. It simply won't stay paired, making it unreliable and ultimately useless for my needs. From what I've heard, this controller should work with Tesla models, but that definitely wasn't my experience.

If you're searching for a small, portable remote to use with your Tesla, I'd recommend skipping this one. It's just not worth the hassle. Keep looking β€” this isn't the solution you're hoping for.
Thank you for that information! any good ones you can rec?
The only controller I've been able to successfully connect to my model 3 is a PS4 controller.

The Anbernic RG PG 01 Controller works great on my Model Y Juniper

Why use a controller instead of the controls or touch screen?

It's for when you're lying down or have the e-reader resting on something.

I just use a doomscrolling / Tiktok ring instead. All you really need is a back and forward button like 90% of the time.

Yes, it worked with my Model Y. It was easy to pair. I played the racing game once and it worked fine. Didn't try other games.
