250 ft/lbs for fastening 275 for unfastening not bad seems fairly compact

this is one of, if not the most compact, impacts on the market, Torque Test Channel reviewed it and it performed very well considering the size, if you're on the battery platform and need one around the house or for your vehicle, no brainer, I keep mine in my truck

Is it normal that the 3/8" model has the same specs? I'm assuming same internals just different drive size. Any reason to get one over the other? I have miscellaneous impact sockets in both sizes.

I'm in for one. I won't use the impact too often but could use another battery for a few kobalt 24v tools I have anyway.
