It does! I jumped on a deal the other week for this but in a different color + cable and it worked. If you're buying this for direct-to-external photos/videos, then you'll need to jump through a few hoops and run a 3td party recording app + likely change "record to" settings every time you run the app. At least that's been my experience so far, because Google Photos doesn't have an option to change settings for external recording...

I think this product will be convenient for long video shoots, where large files are expected, as long as you plan a bit for the caveats.
