As someone who is a person, and has experience being a person, good things are good and bad things are not good, but can become good, as good things can become bad; such as an avocado.

This feels like a good deal. Double LAN port so could be used as a router.

One of the Lan ports on this was a lil weird. And the power button is way too easy to press accidentally. But in terms of performance, great machine. And with 32gbs of ram, even better.

Was going to get a mini pc for my son for his b-day in a week. From what I can tell, this Vega 8 isn't going to do all that well though (was thinking minimum 780m). The 890m found on the newer ones looks pretty good, but there's a huge jump in price unfortunately. Wasn't looking to spend much more than $500, but may bite the bullet on this one [microcenter.com] for $800. Already has a 2tb drive (which I would probably do anyway), 32GB of fast RAM, and 890m graphics. Sorry for the questions, but just started researching these things but are there any other mini PCs with passable graphics for a little gaming? I don't think Intel has much in this dept from what I can tell.

Edit: And I did come across the minis forum hx99g mini pc which looks good on paper, but saw some people mentioning it has overheating problems. It seems OOS on their website anyway, maybe they took it off the market?

I bought this on sale for cheap right after ace magic's fiasco with malware being planted in the recovery partition. Sounds like the company handled it poorly, and they were desperate to reduce their stock and try to rebuild their image.

I ran it protected behind a VPN, and could not find any malware. I didn't trust it anyway, and tried to do a clean install of windows 11. In short, I couldn't get it to install properly. Couldn't find the right device drivers from their website, so I pulled them off the SSD and still couldnt get it to run properly. I couldn't tell if it was a hardware or firmware issue. I returned it to Amazon, and was approached by the company by email to change my review for $. They bugged me for a while with shadier and shadier deals.

The other annoying thing about this PC is the oddly placed on/off button. I constantly kept bumping it and turning it on and off.

Not worth the headache, IMO.

Interesting. I believe that trying to pay to change reviews is against Amazon policies. I was wondering if you reported this behavior to Amazon, and if so what was their response?
