A few dollars more gets you a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120SE or Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE V2. Hard pass on this Scythe.

These twin tower/fan coolers perform incredibly well. I have an $8 one from China and it's been rock solid.

I would second your thoughts. I own a TR Phantom Spirit 120SE ARGB on my 9800X3D as well as a TR Royal Knight 120SE on my 9600X which is basically the same as this Sythe except it should perform better than the Sythe. Why? Because the heat pipes on the Sythe are extremely bent for RAM clearance, which drastically decreases the heat transfer efficiency. The straighter the heat pipes the better. I'm sold on TR coolers. The Phantom Spirit performs just as good as an AIO if you have an open case or well ventilated case.
