"2 years old" is misleading at best, considering that Apple does NOT update their chips on a yearly basis. The M3 chip is literally only the previous generation in a line of possibly the best SoCs on the market

They literally have been updating every year since 2021 when M1 launched.

Not quite true either; M1 was released in November 2020, and M2 not until June 2022.

Even if you only look at the Pro/Max CPUs that they use in the MBP, the releases are a little uneven and sometimes more or less than a year apart.
