Probably better for walking or general training. It's a little heavier than other shoes that have a primary purpose for running. But for light runs, I think these do a fine job.

All my runner friends say that this is not a good "running" shoe, but I, and many others who use it as an everyday beater, say it's great for that purpose. I also find that since it's all one piece, I use a long shoe horn, and so putting on and taking off the shoe is a breeze
