The Wirecutter review tested a few Bonai batteries and found them to underperform, delivering well under the rated capacity after only a few cycles, and/or having a disproportionately long charge time. Seems like Kentli, LADDA, XTAR, EBL, and HiQuick are quality picks and deliver rated voltage and capacity through a full discharge, and stay that way even after they've been used a while.

Worth noting the stated capacity is in mWh not mAh. 3000mwh is 2000mAh (1.5v nom), so these have less capacity than traditional 2200 or 2800mah rechargeable (NiMH).

Wait, aren't you quoting a Wirecutter review on NiMH batts and not the batts in the OP deal, which is for Li-ion? As far as I'm aware, IKEA Laddas do not come in a Li-ion variant - and wasn't finding anything for HiQuick, either.

You only have to read the negative reviews.

I pulled from a few different reviews, including BudgetLightForum and a reddit LocationSound thread with a bunch of real world testing. For most purposes NiMH vs Li-ion makes less difference than the actual performance so I didn't feel the need to draw a line between them.
