Steam has Steam Deck Handheld Gaming PCs (Valve Certified Refurbished) on sale as listed below. Shipping is free.

Thanks to Community Member RepFree83 for finding this deal.

Available Options:
  • OLED Model
    • 512GB $439 (going in and out of stock)
  • LCD Model
    • 256GB $319
    • 512GB $359
All Certified Refurbished Steam Decks include:
  • The same one year warranty as a new Steam Deck (unless longer as determined by your country of residence)
  • A refurbished power supply - fully tested (may have minor cosmetic marks)
  • Carrying case and Quick Start guide
Features:
  • Portability meets power. We partnered with AMD to create Steam Deck's custom APU, optimized for handheld gaming. It is a Zen 2 + RDNA 2 powerhouse, delivering more than enough performance to run the latest AAA games in a very efficient power envelope.
  • Your Steam Library, anywhere. Once you've logged into Steam Deck, your entire Steam Library shows up, just like any other PC. You'll also see the compatibility rating of each game, indicating the kind of experience you can expect when playing. You can dynamically filter any view in your library by compatibility rating if you're looking for specific sorts of experiences.
  • Control with comfort. The Steam Deck was built for extended play sessions—whether you're using thumbsticks or trackpads—with full-size controls positioned perfectly within your reach. The rear of the device is sculpted to comfortably fit a wide range of hand sizes.

My issue with some of the other handhelds is they either seem to abandon the old version when the shiny v2 is released and / or they all are missing something major / have a huge concession that the SD doesn't have. For example, the ROG Ally are great but have no touch pads, the Legion does have a touch pad and great screen but requires a small pickup to tote around. And neither appears to have any real community support behind them (comparatively vs the Steam Deck). Also, I kind of get why they have different CPU versions of some of the other handhelds, but that also adds confusion regarding configs and community support, and what not. It isn't just which handheld you have but which CPU, version #, brand, OS, how much did you undervolt, etc. Worse than a desktop gaming rig…LOL. Value just updates all the Steam Decks (as of now) and for the most part it doesn't matter if you have a LCD from 2022 or a OLED from 2025, if it works on one, it will work on all.
The Xbox ROG Ally X is tremendously more ergonomic than the Steam Deck. Hands and thumbs would hurt with the Steam Deck.
Ergonomics is a matter of taste, how you hold something, and body types. IMO that is completely subjective and is like saying "my friend (the influencer) said Pepsi tastes better."

That being said, those 'handles' might be more comfortable, can't comment because I have held one....nor have you since they haven't be released yet.

P.S. Won't the Xbox ROG Ally X be double this price? So back to my original point. And if only they made $20 grips that could replicate the same thing on the Steam Deck….if only Wink

The Skull & Co grip case is the best, it both increases the grip size, while adding stand (75 degree - no kick stand required) all while still fiting in the OEM deck case.

An influencer compared the Xbox ROG Ally X on display at Games Con to the Steam Deck he owned, saying the Ally X is more comfortable.
And everyone on the planet is always right about which device is more comfortable for other people.

Well this sucks - I tried to buy through the website, on different browsers and all it does is refresh. Tried on mobile, same thing but I noticed on mobile it says "We are beta testing this new version of the cart." - great day to beta test!!!! might as well call them Microsoft.
512 OLED is showing back in stock again - its out of stock again, but randomly check because they have been dropping in and out of stock... and back in stock again (6:30 MNT)...

Thanks for that info. FWIW, I love the stock ergonomics. I just run a silicone skin to protect the overall finish so it keeps (as much as possible) resell value for later.*

*I tend to do pretty well for myself on eBay Wink

I don't like silicon because of how they seem to collect lint and dust so quickly, I like the TPU material: flexible but still "hard", but I agree about protecting the device for resale (even though I end up just keeping most of my systems).
