I feel like you either go wireless/cloud based, or local/poe based.
The wireless/cloud based (ring, argo, etc) have cloud based AI, alerting, good apps -- but struggle with continuous recording with few options that allow that. For most folks having an alert-based recording is sufficient and the alert pushed to their phone is great. Unifi project has a polished phone app/notifications but the cameras are more expensive for the quality.
Local/poe based systems focus on 24/7 recording. Businesses and such where alerting is harder to get right, and you dont want to miss nuances. Love Reolink (and use it).
This product sits awkwardly in the middle -- ho-hum app with not great notifications. No continuous local recording. If my use case was really alert-based push notifications to my phone, Ring and such have much better timeline-scrub features to find events.
I would skip this.

I have these cameras, not the hub part, and the main constraint to understand is that these are not meant to record 24/7. Its basically meant to look at the still/unmoving scene and alert you when that scene moves. I have one at my back door that I don't want to run a wire to and no one uses. If there is actual motion back there especially at night, I want to know. This solves that issue. I didn't even need to mount the solar panel, battery is good for months and then I take them down to recharge and put them back in (ymmv).

I don't see the need for the hub if it's just where you record to, and set up wifi. The cameras have a memory slot for local video. I prefer just to add the single cameras to the app to access them and get alerts.

I can say that I have installed over a dozen wired Reolink CCTV systems in warehouse environments and they go MONTHS without needing to be rebooted.

They are great quality cameras and I would recommend them! One thing I would like to note, in all but 1 of my installs, the systems are ONLY for viewing; meaning they're not recording on the NVR.

Currently in the eufy eco system and I HATE THEIR TRASHY APP! Their garbage app makes their otherwise good cameras act very poorly. Don't take my word for it though, open up the google play app store, look up eufy app, then look at all the 1 star reviews. They all almost say the say thing! Unable to connect, variable speed playback (meaning, you're watching your playback then it speeds up by itself like a benny hill show, then slows down, speeds up, etc..), no alerts for known motion or movement, alerts for movement but no recording.

I would also like to point out that eufy must have done something shady because there were TONS MORE (it was almost ratio'ed with more negative reviews than positive) 1 star reviews but now it seems many are gone. I think they did something like introduce a new (but same) app and removed the existing one so they could have a whole new review cycle. I don't know but it isn't accurate (the number and quality of reviews).

Anyway, I am anxious to try out ReoLinks' wireless camera system and if it even does HALF of what it claims that is enough for me to post a youtube video of all the eufy crap going into my firepit!

One more thing.. I have had to contact Reolink only 1 time in the past number of years and that was even for a technical pre-sale. THey were very helpful and they UNDERSTOOD the context of my English. Eufy support is insulting... they make it seem like "IM" the problem and I don't understand what I am doing. I tell them that my camera system hasn't changed... the only thing that has changed is YOUR APP. You added encryption and AI and after that it is just a dumpster fire. Well, they don't seem to be able to take criticism.

Fingers crossed for Reolink!!
