It's a WB title, so I expect the code WILL be expired / invalid. Reviews from 2023 said the digital code was expired THEN, so almost NO chance it's still valid now.

There are decent ones for ~$300 (Sony has one but I can't remember the model) but if you have any interest in gaming then the PS5 is the way to go. Or go used and get an Xbox One S/X (the older generation) and you can find one on FB for probably sub $100.

Richard Donner shoots the teenage girl up skirt shots a lot in this movie.

That must have been really amazing for teen boys in the 80s.

Now, a little weird. 😆

Sean Astin is the new SAG-AFTRA president.

This movie is why. Goonies never say die!

Usually, the one that gets recommended the most and gets the most support is the Panasonic UB820. It's not cheap, with a list price of $499 but can be found on sale for around $399, sometimes even cheaper during black friday sales. I've had mine for 4 years now and I haven't had any issues with playing back any of the 400 4k and regular blu rays I own. I previously had a Sony x800 which I had issues with when playing back dual layer discs and ended up selling it and replacing it with the Panasonic player.

I think it depends on your use. If you're buying 4k disks like myself, there is no need to upscale with a player on-the-fly as you'll have native 4k support on the disk itself, so you'd be wasting your money on a player that has premium upscaling. Assuming you have some sort of sound system setup, you'll likely want Dolby Vision support, and the latest HDR support if your tv supports that.

I'm in the market for one myself as I've been ripping my 4ks to plex media server using a usb pc player, and playing back with the plex app on an Nvidia Shild console but sometimes a I'm too lazy to rip the disk and just want to watch the movie. .... would like also to hear recommended players from other slick dealers.

I have the UB-420. It's just as good as the UB-820 but doesn't have Dolby Vision, which my projector doesn't do anyway, so I don't miss it. Good player for half the cost.
