About the Film:
- Following a mysterious treasure map into a spectacular underground realm of twisting passages, outrageous booby-traps and a long-lost pirate ship full of golden dubloons, the kids race to stay one step ahead of a family of bumbling bad guys... and a mild-mannered monster with a face only a mother could love.

That must have been really amazing for teen boys in the 80s.
Now, a little weird. 😆

I'm in the market for one myself as I've been ripping my 4ks to plex media server using a usb pc player, and playing back with the plex app on an Nvidia Shild console but sometimes a I'm too lazy to rip the disk and just want to watch the movie. .... would like also to hear recommended players from other slick dealers.
whats a good bluray 4k player?ps5? xbox?
There are decent ones for ~$300 (Sony has one but I can't remember the model) but if you have any interest in gaming then the PS5 is the way to go. Or go used and get an Xbox One S/X (the older generation) and you can find one on FB for probably sub $100.

I think it depends on your use. If you're buying 4k disks like myself, there is no need to upscale with a player on-the-fly as you'll have native 4k support on the disk itself, so you'd be wasting your money on a player that has premium upscaling. Assuming you have some sort of sound system setup, you'll likely want Dolby Vision support, and the latest HDR support if your tv supports that.
