If you have the $ and don't mind an extra half pound of weight (over a 13in Air) it seems to me to be the obvious choice.

For everything else, it's fine.
This would be like an "Air" but able to handle more external monitors? Is that the benefit here?
Even though it's not a pro chip, it would have better cooling, better battery life and the Liquid Retina XDR display unlike an Air.
micro center has been selling the 16/512 for $1,249 for the last, oh i dunno, 3-4 months?
then everyone bumps the prices back up once school started (including micro center, and also on the $449 mac mini which is back to $499), now the sales are coming back again
it's getting a bit ridiculous
