It does have hostspot data, but the plans after 6 months don't look that great.

They typically do NOT work. If it is locked to T-Mobile it is T-Mobile only, even if the underlying carrier may use T-Mobile.

Fun idea:

1) Take your old cell phone (android in this example)

2) Install Alfred Camera on it

3) Install on two phones, One is the monitor, the other's the camera.

4) Slap $10 a month SIM in it.

5) Configure to only upload motion detected events

5) You now have a deployable security camera with a data plan that costs just $10 a month.. just needs power (solar for off grid?)

There's a reason why your phone is locked - you took the free phone or whatever deal. That also means you cannot leave until you pay up. Smartless does not equal Tmo the same as Xfinity or Spectrum mobile is not Verizon.

This idea was for placing somewhere you don't have internet.. yours is just basic idea of using a wifi cam lol
