It's named after the Podcast from Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes. They're trying to be like Ryan Reynolds and make money like he did with Mint Mobile. I always think it's funny when celebrities endorse products that you know they absolutely do not use for themselves.

Wait, i love this idea, but what exactly should I do, meaning should I move/transfer my 'REAL NUMBER' to Google Voice, and then just get a temporary or whatever number these smartless phone company assigns? Trying to understand if anyone else have done this.

Fun idea:

1) Take your old cell phone (android in this example)

2) Install Alfred Camera on it

3) Install on two phones, One is the monitor, the other's the camera.

4) Slap $10 a month SIM in it.

5) Configure to only upload motion detected events

5) You now have a deployable security camera with a data plan that costs just $10 a month.. just needs power (solar for off grid?)
Like this idea where we dont have internet /wifi. But what do you mean #3, Install on two phones? Like you need two android or older phones and what to install on it?

Yes, this is exactly what you do. You can then forward your Google Voice calls to your "temporary" number. You'll use Google Voice for SMS
Some issues with using Google Voice for your primary number: Some banks won't allow you to use a Google Voice number for SMS 2factor auth. Also, group messages and messages with video/pictures don't display nicely in the Google Voice app

Google Fi
I actually didn't realized Google FI was with Tmob and I was pleasantly surprised by the speeds but then again, Google fi is a bit high in prices.

Is this a bait & slow cook scheme? What has been their plan pricing history?

Carriers manage network congestion by assigning different QCI (QoS Class Identifier) levels to different types of traffic. The higher numbers mean lower priority. Deprioritization isn't the same as throttling. QCI only affects your speed and latency when the network is busy, e.g. in a crowded stadium, downtown, maybe Walmart. But if the network is clear, you'll get full speeds. Prioritized users may see 20–50ms latency, while deprioritized users might see 100–150ms, even if speed tests appear similar because prioritized traffic goes first. it's like a toll highway that prioritized traffic.

So how can you find out if the service is de-prioritized in advance?

has anyone had any experience activating these plans on a LOCKED Tmobile phone?
T-Mobile would have to give you an unlock code for not only the phone but also your line, so you would have to start the process by obtaining and unlock code from T-Mobile.

well, teh locked phone is from the tmobile pixel 10 deal, but Im trying to use the Smartless sub on a locked TMobile phone. I tried to load the esim on the locked pixel 10. Did not work. Ended up using it on an unlocked phone but if there is a way to make it work on the locked Pixel i wdn't mind continuing the 6 months svce... Tmobiel cannot give me an unlock code since its a 24 months deal... so, not quite what u mean,,.

Their Taxes & Fees are much higher than Tello's, even on the $10.00 plan.

Not sure T-Mobile locked phone would work on this MNVO, but it does work on Mint Mobile-another MNVO using T-Mobile network and recently bought by T-Mobile.
