I have a couple of these exact ones and the USB ports on them are trash. Bad connections on both. Just stick with a well known brand like Anker.

I have two and they've been working great for me. Use the usb plugs to charge controllers and my phone.

We travel with one of these. It comes in handy at the hotels, because they never have enough outlets or USB ports near the beds. We both have sleep apnea and need 2 outlets for our Cpap machines. We also bring our own fan on our trips, as we like to sleep with a fan circulating the air, thus another plug. Then I work on my laptop, we both like to plug our phones in to charge at night and my wife brings her tablet. So this Hancony comes in handy. The usb charge our Samsung 24 Ultra and 24+ pretty quickly. Her tablet charges good on it too. We use the other one at home on our gaming shelf to plug our controllers into for charging and such.

Don't know how electricity works. If I stick a USB cable in there, could I charge my laptop?

Those USB-C ports max out at 15 watts. It would only trickle charge your laptop meaning maybe overnight might your machine if it was in hibernation mode might get mostly charged. However, if your laptop is running, chances are 15 watts wouldn't keep up and your laptop's battery would slowly go down.

New question here: in the long run if you don't need something fast charge, like a MacBook, is it actually better for the battery to be "trickle charged" as opposed to a faster charge? Second question: can you or anyone recommend something like this but with decent surge protection? Thanks.

I see it has a ETL Certificate, I do not see a UL Listed. Are these the same or is UL better?

I've had these for a few months. It does the job but it has a high pitch siren like noise. It doesn't bother me too much during the day but at night, I turn it off.
