If you plan to have any weight at all ever in a day pack it's worth having one with a hip belt (not a mere waist strap, which this doesn't even seem to have).

It's advertised as a laptop backpack, wouldn't want a hip belt for these types of backpacks. This is my preference and opinion, others may be different.

I have this bag, it's great for general purpose use. Holds a MBP 16" and plenty of additional interior space, pockets, double water bottle holders.
