I have the same trimmer (bought tool only for $87 3 years ago) and have never heard back from the recall I think. It works great. Just like Edward Scissorhands.

The run time on the 2.5 Ah battery is well over 45 minutes.
The one on the ebay listing looks slightly different than what's on Acme's website (2 Ah vs. 2.5 Ah in the description). Buy through Acme Tools' directly. The 15% off coupon works there too and you are sure to get the 2.5 battery that isn't being recalled.
