Just a heads up: there's multiple reports of Oris denying calibre 400 repairs on watches not purchased through an AD.

What's the difference with this one besides $25?

Yep, 100% true. Not to mention all of the issues in the past with the 400 movement.

And Watchmaxx usually buys old stock.

Also WM's warranty is only two years.

Not sure gen 2 is any better, internet reports still make me avoid it.

Good comments above and I've been doing a little research on my own and must say this is a very good price on this model Oris, and an outstanding price for those that value in-house designed movements (true in-house movements and not just minor changes to an existing off-the-shelf movement). That said, this is a beautifully made watch by Oris and if you're really considering buying it, take a look at some of the close up YouTube videos like the link I've included, below.

A few more comments - there is a real issue with the minute hand jumping when you set the crown... but that issue was mentioned 4 yrs ago, so its very possible this 400 mvmt could be an updated or Gen 2 mvmt as mentioned, above. Even if its not an updated mvmt, the issue appears to be mostly an annoyance... but it's likely to be less so given the watch's massive 123 hour PR and overall accuracy. The final note I'll mention was a comment i read about the cost of having a proprietary in-house mvmt serviced vs a more "generic" nom-proprietary commercial mvmt. The servicing costs on this mvmt could be substantially more expensive.

In summary - a really good deal on a more unique mid-tier luxury watch that's an overall beautiful piece (esp if you love the green color).

What does that mean, for the uninitiated?
