Pretty decent deal. The claimed up to half acre on a single charge is ludicrous. Maybe using both batteries.

Gas mower user here. Could anyone please give an idea how noisy this could be, compare to my Honda gas mower for example? Can I use it at 7-8AM something without waking up my neighbor? Try to avoid TX summer heat.

It's definitely quieter than any gas mower. The blower on the other hand, is quite loud. And it seems to be an older generation. Only 500cfm.

Yes, you'll be able to mow early in the morning. These electrics are very quiet.

I have a 60V Greenworks from a few years ago. It's pretty quiet compared to gas mowers. I describe how loud it is as hearing your neighbor across the street mow their lawn when you have the windows cracked. You definitely hear it, but it doesn't drown out the world.
I still don't mow before 8am just because, but you could probably get away with earlier if you have friendly neighbors.

Decent price if you have a small yard.
Both tools are from a few generations back, and the 2Ah batteries will drain quickly in either tool.

Compared to any gas mower, you could mow your neighbor's yard at 3a with this and they won't know it.

Also no nasty gas fumes and exhaust. In the 'both good and bad' category, it's also MUCH cleaner in terms of throwing up dust clouds, particles, grass, etc, but that's because it has a lot less torque and power than gas. Great for allergy sufferers, not great when you want to pick up leaves.

I find that 2.0 Ah batteries just aren't enough to get a lot of mowing done. I use my 4.0 Ah ones in the mower. The 2.0s are better in the handheld tools (blower, string trimmer, chain saw).

Don't go into Spring thinking you'll be able to do a half acre with these batteries when the grass is thick and wet.

I'm mildly tempted by this. I already have a Greenworks 800cfm blower and 2.5 and 4ah 80v batteries so with this pair of 2AH batteries I'm sure I could do my 5800sqft lawn just fine with room to spare. At the same time, my 2022 Honda HRR216 with GCV160 engine is just getting broken in and has way more power than this thing will. I wonder how this Greenworks mower would work in the fall for mulching leaves.

I'm pretty sure the Honda will mulch much better than this GW model. I owned this model and upgraded to the latest GW 21" model sold by Costco. The new model has two battery ports, plus a "Turbo" setting, and also includes a mulching blade as well as the standard. It does pretty well for mulching leaves.

The model here does not have the mulch blade, and the speed is governed by the load it senses (no manual Turbo setting).

These batteries are too weak. Lasts about 10 minutes if you have thick grass. The 4Ah battery is a better fit.

Your batteries would keep running out, so it would end up taking you twice as long. The Honda is a much better option for a decent size yard. Take good care of it with the oil changes because they are no longer made.
