OP Notes: Chrome Battery has been an excellent brand for me on motorcycles and riding mowers. This H version has the higher CCA rating of 310CCA for Harley applications, although it's a direct fit for many others. Be advised; the positive terminal is on the left side when facing the front of the battery. Non-H version 270CCA is also available for the same price, although there's no reason not to get the better spec for the same price.

I wonder if this could work for an EV as they don't need a lot of power to turn over a motor. it would be nice to replace my 12v battery lead acid battery with this.

Strangely an EV battery does a lot, just not turning over an engine. Resistive heat can use up to 6kW in my EV until the cabin warms up. That's a 12V system. The 12V battery supplements the inverter during initial/peak loads and recovers when the inverter can start maintaining the load.
I bought something like this and it didn't last a year. I would stick with a local lead acid or invest in lithium.
Did they deny your warranty claim? It comes with a 2 year warranty, but not sure if it's prorated or replacement.

"Something like this" is much too vague to have any credibility. AGMs average 4 to 7 years of service if treated properly, in addition to being maintenance free. I've installed many hundreds of them in my line of work. Chrome Battery is one of the higher end import brands. I can't speak to warranty claims as they're pretty rare.
