Skydance-Paramount Merger (Closed August 2025): Skydance Media, led by David Ellison (son of Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison), acquired control of Paramount Global in an $8 billion deal. This gives Skydance (and the Ellisons) majority ownership of Paramount's assets, including CBS, Paramount Pictures, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Paramount+. David Ellison became CEO of the combined company. The deal faced FCC scrutiny and required concessions, like appointing an ombudsman for CBS News to handle bias complaints and settling a lawsuit with former President Trump over a "60 Minutes" interview. Larry Ellison, the world's second-richest person (net worth ~$200 billion), provided major financial backing

This is Premium, so no ads? Any idea if it can be used to extend a sub? Mine doesn't renew for another six weeks or so.

"Fewer ads".

The fact that we pay for these services and they still shove ads in is absolutely bonkers. But who's gonna stop them? Not like people are going to take a stand and abstain.

You're referring to $PGRE Paramount a commercial office space company. That has nothing to do with Paramount+

I agree. I already have paramount for "free" through a credit card but the ads make it unwatchable.

It know it's hard to believe, but the streaming services wars have not fully matured. There's still to many of them out there and few are making any money. If you just wait a few more years when they finish consolidating to just three, you'll find an even more expensive service with even more ads.

I think they really only show ads during live viewing. With Paramount+ you can stream your local CBS network live. Their normal streaming content is ad free as far as I've seen with Premium. They might start with a skippable promo about one of their other shows, but thats it.

I think this post is misleading in a sense. It's $120 free value add-on but not a discount to the gift card.

Great deal IMO.
Alternative is it's a $40 value if you instead go the sportsline route in the next month or so around BF. https://slickdeals.net/f/18165427-sportsline-paramount-39-99

I will gladly continue to subscribe to P+ for about one month a year.

It feels like it's either that or just raise rates. Or if you're Hulu, BOTH.

This would have been great if I didn't just book my upcoming travel.

Anyone know if there are other benefits to using the delta AMEX? Maybe just a slightly better return on miles or maybe nothing..

Do Delta gift cards last forever and can they be applied to your delta account to hold the credit?
