Should work for any SATA drive but speeds will be capped at whatever SATA level it is and by USB 3.0.

Reporting back. Did not work with the pi4s. Multiple pis, multiple cables, through a powered hub. Cable was one that works with the syba enclosure.

Thanks, got one to throw in an old SSD I had lying around. Will do nice to use as a Time Machine drive for my Mac.
