I totally agree with you in most cases though, could you imagine buying borderlands 4 and then having it run at 30fps with recommended hardware 😂

I bought the last BF for $20 and it was decently fun. However, isn't $70 in this economy a bit too much?
$70 in this economy is fantastic. Games are one of the only things that have never kept up with inflation. Games were often $70 on N64. We even had some $100 games in the SNES days. Game development costs have gone up exponentially, and yet we're still only paying $50-$70. That's crazy. We should be paying $100-$120 for bigger games like this. People can get as mad as they want for not being entitled and thinking games should be cheaper, but it's just basic economics. I definitely don't like paying $70, and I almost never buy a game at full price, but it is very much a fair price. Now, not every game is worth $70, but that's completely subjective.

The launch of this game will have ~3 large Battlefield maps, and that's all I'd be interested in. $70 and a $10 GC worth it for that? Not for me.
The game engine, graphics, and mechanics all looked and felt great in the beta though. Just needs more real Battlefield content.

Fallout 4 (because I got all the future DLC releases for free)
