OOS but math was

$499 device
$40 activation
~$50 taxes
$70 per month service (x2 plus tax to unlock)

so by the time it was unlocked, your buy in is closer to $750

Do you have to sign up with a contract with Verizon for this? When I tried to purchase it, it showed "Verizon Device Payment with Down Payment" $-11.09/mo + $898.00 down. Payment of $898.00 due to walmart, $28.91 due to Verizon
Verizon doesn't have contracts

I'm somewhat unfamiliar with the Verizon installment deals in general. Is my thinking below correct:
1-Get a new phone from Verizon/Walmart with a 36-month installment plan.
2-Keep the instsallment for the entire 36 months
3-After two months this phone becomes unlocked
4-Can I let my Verizon monthly plan/phone number expire at this time without any consequence?
5-Can i now use this unlocked phone with an existing AT&T phone number?

Thanks in advance.
