FYI. The QM8K is significantly better than the 6K and 7K (QM8K owner here)

90day return period & $900 is less than those newer models.
Also it's a backup option in case prices don't drop as your are predicting

I'm looking for a large (85" or bigger) TV to mount on my outdoor patio by the pool. Something basic as I'll be surprised if anything will last more than 3 years out in TX weather. Is this currently the best deal?

I know the high end TCLs get good reviews nowadays... but I've bought two TCLs (one for me and one for my mom) over the years, and they suck. I just cannot wrap my head around spending $1k on a TCL or Hisense.
