Why are so many people on Slickdeals trolling processed foods? Shouldn't they be spending that time in the kitchen making everything from scratch?

Making alfredo sauce from scratch is one of the easiest things to do in a kitchen. You will regret buying it in a jar.

the food industry has unfortunately fallen to immense greed and packing foods with chemical flavor enhancers and other ways to cut out using more pricier ingredients. They also engineer stuff to last virtually forever. There's a less-fine line between freeze dried camping/astronaut food and some of these products. but if you can't find the time to do better, then have at it!
