I have this and it doesn't leak. I neither remove the battery nor the oil and it's fine.

The self oiling feature is not that big a deal, they usually end up leaking and make a bigger mess. With these saws being so small, how much cutting could you really do? The other one gives you a small squeeze bottle for oiling and a brush. I just manually lubricate the chain. Easy. And it has the second battery which, in my opinion, makes it the better deal.

Still holding out for the one with 2 batteries (don't care much about the hard case). Anyone tried the 365-day warranty with no return product?

Can someone tell whether this deal is better than this one:

6" Seesii Mini Cordless Electric Hand Chainsaw w/ 2x 21V Batteries $19.80 + Free Shipping

https://slickdeals.net/f/18633676-6-seesii-mini-cordless-electric-hand-chainsaw-w-2x-21v-batteries-19-79-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch

I bought one for $19.80. The Seesii deal comes with two batteries. The Tietoc has only one battery.

I actually went down the rabbit hole of looking at reviews of them the other day. There's quite a bit out there about them and most seem to give them both pretty good reviews for the price. A couple of sites favored the Seesii by a little bit, but I doubt there's going to be a huge difference for practical purposes. It's probably mostly going to come down to a preference for the oiler on the Tietoc versus the case and extra battery with the Seesii.

Here's what one of the review sites said …

Quote from ReviewSite :
The SeeSii Mini Cordless is the best smaller saw we tested that you can easily operate with one hand. It is ideal for smaller backyard projects where you primarily cut trees and branches that are less than 4 inches in diameter. Our testers noted they were "surprised how much more efficient it was than a standard chainsaw when cutting up branches. Being able to operate it with one hand really makes a difference as you don't constantly have to put down the saw and move what you just cut." Unlike the TieToc Mini Cordless, it never stopped on us, even in our marathon cutting capacity test and in our 4 x 4 cutting test. It had much better performance than the Saker Mini Portable. It comes with a handy carrying case that is loaded with accessories: an extra chain, sharpening file, gloves, oil bottle, and safety glasses.

While we love this saw for smaller projects, it is not ideal for trees much bigger than 4 inches. Our tester said, "the batteries seemed to last forever when cutting 1-2 inch branches, but one larger tree nearly drained an entire battery." We were also surprised at how long it takes to charge the batteries. Once you drain both batteries, you need to wait hours to be able to use them again. There is no automatic oiling, so you have to add chain oil manually. All that said, we were pleasantly surprised at how well this saw performed for small projects. For many people, it may be all the saw you need and is a giant upgrade from even the premier handsaws and folding saws we tested.

I just got it out and used it this morning. Cut a bunch of 2"-6" limbs and vibes and I like it better than using my big chainsaw. Didnt feel the weight at all and it's very versatile going thru the bushes to clear them. One other thing is it fits Makita batteries like the Seesii on the other thread. I dont actually have Makita battery but I have Dewalt/Milwaukee to Makita adapter so battery is not a big deal for me. Btw I used it for 2 hrs this morning and the battery still going strong. Just my 2c for anybody is on the fence

Is this a better option than using reciprocating saw with pruning blade? You can get a bunch of blades for around $7 and they work great in my experience.
that's what I was thinking, I have a Milwaukee hacksaw sawzall and just use a pruning blade. this mini chain saw will probably cut a little faster and better when it's sharp but it probably won't last that long

Good to know, that actually makes it like 10x better, I wonder why they don't mention it in the description that it's compatible with the Makita battery system. Like if the saw breaks you can still use the battery or if the battery goes bad after 2-3 years simply get a knockoff Makita battery for it.

I see your 8-page discussion about an $18 saw and raise you an 83-page discussion about a $20 router. Big Grin
