Redditers have received offer for another free BYOD line ID250385. Check your emails and T-Life to see if you qualify.

YMMV. If you qualify, you can add it without changing your plan. This is BYOD only; financing a phone is not recommended and you may lose your free line promotion.

Note, if you took advantage of the free line offer in May 2025, when T-mobile raised the old SERO-like prices by $5 per line, and added this to accounts with multiple lines as a way to ease the price increase, you will not be eligible. I did take advantage, and moved my Visible line, so no go this round on a would-be free line #3.

May deal for reference

FYI, I tried anyways. Not eligible.

Just called this number and was told that I don't qualify. Would speaking with a different rep make a difference?

I called T-Mobile and they said I qualify, but it was a quick verification. it sounds fishy, but they processed my payment. I didn't get any texts.

We're on Simple Choice 4 x $100 then $10 each additional line. We currently have 10 lines for $160. I doubt we will qualify for this but I'll check.

My 15 year old Go5G Plus account with 1 free line is never qualified for theseEdit: I didn't receive any email nor was able to locate the ad in T-life app, but I called (833) 579-2247 and asked the rep if my account qualifies. The rep confirmed that it does and they charged $10 activation fee and now the physical SIM is on its way to me. They didn't ask for an IMEI or anything, they only needed my billing and shipping info.
Go5g plus was introduced in 2023

Just tried to add a line BYOD in the T-Life app, way old Simple Choice plan with 10 lines and it takes me through all the steps and to the 2nd to last page and then pops up saying "You've reached the max amount of lines for your plan, sorry". I was told by a rep before that we can have more than 10 lines but they'll require a deposit of $250 or so and could probably only do one or two more but must not be able to in the app. Oh well.

It depends on your SOC. Some Simple Choice SOCs are limited to 10 voice, others have different limits. https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...ice_lines/

How and when can we verify that the line is actually free?

Is there a max amount of lines an account can have?
8 lines in personal accounts, but they do have another account that can handle 12 lines, however, moving to that account type will probably mess up any discounts you're currently getting from an employer, etc.
This is a risk I took back in May. Was stuck for a few years on 8 line plan ( One Plan with One Plus Promo on most lines) and was maxed on autopay discount, so I bypassed a few free line promos. In May I got the $5 line increase text, and I was pissed. Ready to cast fate to the wind, I went ahead and added another free line, no longer caring if I stuck with TMO or not... preparing to bail to any cheap MVNO since I hardly use talk mins. Had 8 line plan shifted to 9+ lines plan (told it is still called One Plan with Plus Promo), the new line I added in May does NOT have kickback like all my other lines, but retained the other Plus upgrades. I'm told if I keep trying csr roulette, I could get the SOC code for kickback added, but I struck out 4 times in a row. Moral of the story, I went from 8 lines @$96/ mo to 9 lines @ $20 month. Nope, not gonna mess with that! 😆
