Redditers have received offer for another free BYOD line ID250385. Check your emails and T-Life to see if you qualify.

YMMV. If you qualify, you can add it without changing your plan. This is BYOD only; financing a phone is not recommended and you may lose your free line promotion.

Even if it was available to me, I'm kind of done with T-Mobile after 15 years... When Legere took over, it was a golden age. Now, it just keeps getting worse. I'm contemplating to jump to USMobile or something.

"Free" but they are still charging you, which costs roughly around $6-$8 for that "free" line. That was my experience from getting a free line a few years ago.

Sorry dumb question. I haven't called to see if I qualify but it would be nice to have a second phone number to use on my phone. My phone is a 2024 RAZR+ and it has a physical SIM and ESIM. I am currently paying $10 for a Digits phone number. It is okay but not great for texting. Is there a catch for this "free" line? If I do qualify, would I have another phone number to add to my phone? Again, sorry if dumb question. Thanks for your help.
Can someone please help and educate me with this free line offer? Thank you.

No I did not, but neither did I for my other five free lines. App chat told me that at that current time that my account did not have the segment, but to check back later. I checked back later with a phone rep who confirmed that I had the segment for the free line, and the bogo as well. I passed on the bogo and they set me up with the byod free line.

Phone rep also told me I qualified for the free line. Chatted T-Force the next day when I saw the new line on my account but not promo ID. T-Force said I actually didn't qualify, would be charged for the line but offered to cancel and credit the connection charge. I took them up on that offer

Yes, 2 paid lines with 1 free line. Currently paying $110.
The One All In plan never qualifies for free lines after the initial one afaik. You might want to verify if that is the case.

they charge all kinds of taxes, FTC fees etc even though you have free lines. I've 3 FREE ON US line for last 4 years and keep paying that money. It is going up every by some change.

That would depend on the plan you currently have. If you are on one of the Tax Inclusive plans (Like Simple or One), there will be no tax on the free line.

Yeah. If you try enough times you'll probably eventually find someone who tells you that you qualify and will add a line but the odds of that being wrong definitely go up the more you have to fish for it. That's pretty much SOP every time one of these deals comes up. Personally, I always want to either see a text or something in the T-force app or some way to verify it myself before I go after one of these deals.

I dont think the simple choice plan was tax inclusive. I remember switching to the One plan from SC back in 2017 mostly because of the tax inclusive feature

simple choice plan here. tried to chat them when this deal first posted. got all the way to the end of the road and was told i dont qualify. sent cropped screenshot of the text and email (posted in this thread). no go. denied. i just had some downtime at work and dialed 611. i didnt even need to say the promotion name or ID. i just said "i'm calling to add a free line to my account." she said ok, that will be 10 dollars. do you need a sim? yes. ok. done. took all of 10 minutes. so moral of this story is that you just need to call and get the right representative.
