six months is too quick?? with all the games/contest were you get free points, it is easy to accumulate points for a free item and sometimes they have 'sales' on the point values needed on select items.
Can't agree at all with this statement, you just don't know how to use their rewards platform IMO.
You both are crazy, it's 6 months. BK has one of the best rewards programs. You can use your entire Crowns balance in single transaction, they regularly give free crowns from in-app mini games (that you don't have to play just press skip game) AND you can use the Crowns without needing to make a purchase.
McDonald's on the other hand is shit. They never offer free rewards points, they limit redemption to single item per order/every 15 minutes and recently they've had zero decent deals on food.

Exactly. BK has one of the best rewards programs imo, them and Domino's Pizza.
I also like that BK lets you skip the minigames and go straight to the reward. During the last couple of game promos, I racked enough points to redeem a large onion ring and a whopper (both in same transaction).
Only gripe I have is their in-app coupons are kind of mediocre. The printed flyer coupons are slightly better.
Yall remember the coupon for 3.99 for 2 whopper juniors + 2 small fries (pre-covid)? I thought that was one of the best fast food deals ever.

They want most "deals" to include a drink these days as that's an obvious profit center. The in-app coupons can be decent, but sometimes they are limited time offers (like last week when they did a different free item with purchase every day). The free fries deal is fine, though an issue with all of these is they don't stack with certain deals in the app (like the duo/trio), at least in my experience. When they added the trio I used to be able to do the free fries with it and then I'd redeem crowns for a cheeseburger to feed three people for $7, but since they made it so you can't use coupons with the trio I've had to use more crowns in each purchase to avoid paying more, which isn't the end of the world obviously with frequent promos but I end up going less frequently.

That simply is NOT true, no offer free item deal requires a drink purchase. most are a $1 additional which can be accomplished easily w/o buying a drink. why do people post wrong info on here?
You can simply add addtional topping to the free item like bacon, cheese, xtra veggies, etc to reach the $1 spend. There is never 'buy a drink' requirement to get the free item.

I meant with respect to the two whopper jr and small fries that the other commenter mentioned. Those deals are less common (if they exist at all) in favor of deals that include drinks.
BK has a few coupons for meals that don't include a drink but they're generally not much cheaper than the combined price of the items (also if they include fries it's generally cheaper to just buy the item you're after and get the fries for free with that coupon). But things like the duo and trio are definitely valuable if you want 2-3 sandwiches and the crown system is pretty customer-friendly if you're willing to pay attention, so they're better than a lot of chain burger places in that regard.
I think one gets like, "...Burger King's Royal Perks Crowns expire, typically six months after they are earned, on the first day of the seventh month."
I find it odd how they have to be super specific on the last part. Why the first day of the seventh month? Does it take too much bandwidth to just make it exactly 6 months?

No, I think you probably had seen one of my comments or deals posted. I usually get a drink at a location closest to me because they have any size sweetened tea for $1. In my case, adding topics would not give me an exact $1 and so I choose to get another item.

I went for the BOGOs when that same mailer had that deal.

The best rewards for the value are going to be the Chicken Jr. and the Cheeseburger. Depending on location, they are priced in such a way that they give you the most % out of the dollar amount that the reward point represents (remember, $25 = 250 crowns).
