Ikea Ladda comes in two capacities, 1900mah and 2450mah. The 1900s are usually 4 for $10 and the 2450s are 4 for $12. The difference here is that Laddas are made in Japan, where all Eneloops are made. These Amazon batteries are made in China.

For comparison, I have the old white label Laddas and they still hold a fantastic charge after being used in my controllers for years. My Amazon China batteries still need to be recharged after sitting in a drawer.

I generally like these batteries but when anything off Jeff's ends up on Woot, you have to wonder what is wrong with it.

might be batch issues. or inventory cleanup.
but i guess later should be the reason.
These batteries are slightly bigger in size than regular AA's. I got it last year, still holding good charge, 1 battery failed though.

I've heard these are a little larger and wonder if they would fit in my mouse, which is what I use mine for (also Chinese). One of mine failed already also. The battery in the remote on my Roku TV is always coming slightly "out" causing me to have to open the compartment and click the battery back in. I wonder if a slightly larger batter would solve the problem.

Do you have trouble using them in any devices because of their size?

Just tuck a small piece of foam inside the battery compartment (or glue one to the door of the compartment) to keep the batteries from sliding around in there.
Alkaline batteries are probably still ideal for things like TV remotes because they can last years without needing to be replaced. Even these rechargeables that are "low self discharge" (or "precharged") do deplete a bit over time.
And if you have issues with rechargeables and use them somewhat often, look into a smart charger that can fully discharge them before charging. This will help maintain the life/capacity of the battery.

Thanks. Yeah, I've been looking for something to stick in that compartment. I'll try some foam. By the way, I just looked at the remote and realized the batteries are AAA, not AA. Weed is legal here in Arizona LOL. I did compare my Chinese AAs to a regular one and they seem the same width. By larger, do you mean in length or diameter?

Think I'm going to pass on these AAs. Wish my mouse were rechargeable.

Yeah the rechargeable AAs are usually thicker around, but not necessarily longer. If they are longer, that's usually less of an issue, though, because most battery compartments have springs that compress, while the diameter/thickness can occasionally be a tight fit depending on the device.

These may be cheap but they're blatantly inferior to Ikea private label-/ Panasonic- eneloops. You definitely get what you pay for.
From 3 different batches of Amazon basics rechargeables deals to serve a family of 6 since 2018, they consistently pale in comparison to the former in: idle discharge, capacity, and lifecycles. They start strong but taper down really quickly compared to eneloops.

I got this last time and the diameter is like 1-2mm bigger than a standard AA. Manufacture defect? Would get stuck in things. Id steer clear

Edit
Bigger compared to basics aa recvargabkes bought from amazon direct

Alkalines in remotes would be great, but they seem to have gotten a severe leak problem the last few years. After the hassle of cleaning the devices one too many times- nah, I switched to nimh even for remotes.

your mouse requires a 1.5v battery this is only 1.2 just so you know every rechargeable are 1.2V
still works with it ...
