Been using this the past 2 years. I hate it. The flipping novelty wears off fast when you realize you have to open it every time you wanna use your phone. Plus you can't even leave the phone open in your pocket like a regular phone or the screen will scratch

And once it's open it's just like any other phone. Except there is a giant crease in the middle that distorts text and images everytime your scroll. If you hate curved screen phones well imagine the curve smack dab in the middle

This was my first foldable and I loved it at the time. Have since upgraded to the flip 6, then 7.

In comparison to newer models, the crease is more noticeable but very tolerable, and battery life is significantly worse. I usually found myself conserving and charging when possible with moderate usage and a 12 hour work day. Typically ended the day with 10-30% if I didn't overuse and didn't charge. The 6 was where I was able to stop conserving and finished closer to 30%, and the 7 finishes around 40-50% with liberal usage.

The 3 major draws for this phone, as I see it:

1. Form factor. Every other phone now feels too big in my pocket and I can't go back to a regular size phone, although I've had my eye on ultra thin models and may eventually try one as a daily driver. It should also be noted that this isn't much thicker when unfolded than the iPhone air and s25 edge, and it's noticeable when holding it.

2. It helps with phone addiction and limiting distraction. The outer screen is functional enough to quickly check notifications, respond to texts, emails etc without getting sucked into social media, YouTube, etc.

3. When folded, with even a thin case and glass screen protector on the outer screenit's virtually indestructible to normal falls. Really everything that's exposed during a fall is metal. The caveat is when unfolded, the screen is prone to damage from even fairly light impact. As someone who has had a flip phone for over 2 years now, keeps it closed when carrying it around with an ultra thin case onand has dropped it several times, I've suffered no damage aside from a slight chip on one of the hinges. I recommend a pitaka case with any glass outer screen protector from Amazon. Their cases are magsafe compatible, but also compatible with all wireless chargers including the one in Teslas.

Bought this last year during Prime Day (upgraded from galaxy S10e) and have been loving it. Haven't had any issues with it and I always get questions about it whenever I flip it out

For me, photo performance is one of the most important factors when choosing a phone. The camera here is only 12M, no zoom.
Z Flip6 and Z Flip7 both upgraded to 50M + optical zoom.

The link you sent says August 2027. So a little under 2 years.
