How do I figure out if the RAM is soldered?
UPDATE: I'm pretty sure it's this one:

If yes, it's 5.35lbs and the ram is upgradeable. That's a full pound more than the MSI Stealth a16 deal posted last week.

Sure but the MSI A16 is garbage held together with tinsel unfortunately. Also used etc etc.

5-5.5 is pretty standard weight for a 16" gaming laptop in most generations unless you are getting something a little more premium, but that has trade offs like worse performance and worse build quality.

I've been researching gaming laptop specs like it's my job. I don't really want to game with one, I just want it to look cool sitting on my desk so I have the bragging rights to tell all my friends that I COULD game if I actually wanted to.

Seems like all the sub 1k laptops have 300 NITS brightness. The Legion pro OLED is nice too but I'm not a fan of the glossy screen. This one at 400 nits seems like a deal. I am a fan of 16:10 aspect ratio (since again I don't really do any gaming just mostly stare at office documents and surf the web). I've noticed the Acer Nitro & HP Victus are 16:9 (hard pass).

Get this or wait for Amazon / Walmart day and/or BF?

That's what I'm saying too! All budget gaming laptops have had 300 nits around this price. if you want performance the Victus 5060 is 800 at MC right now. The performance over the 5050 is only ~15%. I would rather have the better screen. Do serious gaming (I don't!) on your desktop! In 4 one!
